Title: Contrapunctum Lucis , an hexagonal ostinato under the dome of the Palau Güell.

Composer: Xavier Pagès-Corella (1971)

Ensemble: Organ

Duration: 5 min.

About the work: This work was premiered at the inauguration of the restored organ of the Palau Guell (16th of April of 2012). It was inspired by the design of the dome by Antoni Gaudí, which crowns the hall where the organ is built. This dome is constructed using a grid of hexagons on which a ring of overlapped natural lights surround the main lantern.
