About the work: This is a new engraving of the original version of the Ave Maria by Charles Gounod, for solo voice and piano (composed on the 1st prelude, in C major, of the Well-tempered clavier by Johann Sebastian Bach). Gounod changed the C major original key of Bach's Prelude, to F major. This edition includes the original version in F major and also the transpositions to G major, Eb major and D major.
